I'm a "sucker" for a good vampire story and David has a great one with Scout Comics' Stake. There are only a few days left for this one. So don't wait too long to jump on the bandwagon.

THE O.Z. #1-2 - A Fantasy Classic Reimagined for Comics

David Pepose was my editor on Newsarama for a number of years.  David had taught me so much during our time working together, and I'm so happy to see how his writing career has skyrocketed over the past couple of years. Speaking of, David has launched his sophomore Kickstarter with The O.Z. #1-2. A psychological twist on the classic Wizard of OZ.

First Stretch Goal Announcement

It's so humbling that we're in our first week and already announcing stretch goals. 

If we hit $15K then all physical backers will receive 1 FREE trading card.  

Each card features a character from the book's nine stories. The Bi Visibility Set contains seven (6) Common cards and three (3) Rare Holo Foil cards (Grandma, Jenna/Jamie, and Galak). The ratio of Rare to Common cards is approximately 1:6.

If you'd like to add more cards to your backing there are add ons with options for 1, 5, and 10 set of random cards. 

Don't stop at the bi cards! Get the whole set. We also have the Like Father, Like Daughter/Haunting Crossover trading cards available to add on.  These cards also have a 1:6 holo pull ratio with Casey and Bram being the holo cards. 

Backer Goal

We're also ramping up our backer goals. If we make it to 600 backers then ALL BACKERS will receive a digital copy of Death & Comics #1. 

Death & Comics is a 24 page collection of short comics that Randy Stone has written, all of which are related to death in some way.

Writer, Randy Stone, also has a current campaign with Bullet.

Killtopia #4

I'm a huge fan of long form Kickstarter titles, and so happy to see a title like Killtopia already up to issue 4.  It was recently announced that this indie fan favorite will be adapted for an animated tv show with Voltaku, a studio in LA. So you should get in on this from the ground up. 

Here's a quote from the campaign to give an insight on the series:

"Our story starts as a rookie Wrecker called Shinji encounters the world's first sentient mech called Crash. They are then both hunted like fugitives across the neon-soaked metropolis by Wreckers, android killers and Yakuza gangs in a violent battle royale to end them all. We are flying through our stretch goals!! Our second stretch goal is one of my favorites. If the campaign reaches $17K then all backers will receive 8 more books to add to the digital indie bundle - making it a 17 comic book haul!

It's so excited to make another update about unlocking stretch goals - AND WE UNLOCKED TWO! We are over 700 backers so everyone will be getting a digital copy of Is'Nana and we've unlocked even more digital comics with the expansion pack indie bundle.
